Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using MeetLesson in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create accounts for others without their consent, impersonate any person, or use a false identity.

3. Teachers

Teachers are independent providers, not employees of MeetLesson. By creating a class, you confirm that: • The content is accurate and you are qualified to teach it. • You have the rights to any materials you share during sessions. • You will conduct sessions professionally and in accordance with these terms. • You will honor confirmed enrollments. Cancellations require prompt notice to enrolled students. MeetLesson reserves the right to remove classes or suspend teacher accounts that receive repeated complaints or violate these terms.

4. Students

Students agree to: • Use Google Meet links solely for the enrolled class and not share them publicly. • Treat teachers with respect and professionalism during sessions. • Not record sessions without the explicit consent of the teacher and all participants. Abuse of the platform — including fraudulent enrollment or chargebacks without legitimate cause — may result in account suspension.

5. Payments

Class fees are displayed on each class page and charged at enrollment. Payments are processed by Stripe; by enrolling in a paid class you agree to Stripe's terms of service. MeetLesson retains a platform fee on each transaction. The net amount is paid out to the teacher on a weekly schedule after the session is completed.

6. Refunds and cancellations

If a teacher cancels a class, enrolled students receive a full refund automatically within 5–10 business days. If a student cancels before the class starts, refund eligibility is subject to the cancellation policy set by the teacher on the class page. MeetLesson has no obligation to issue refunds for no-shows or late cancellations where the teacher's policy does not permit them. To request a refund outside the automatic flow, contact support from your dashboard.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not: • Violate any applicable law or regulation. • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users. • Upload or transmit malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial messages. • Attempt to circumvent the platform by transacting with other users outside MeetLesson to avoid fees. • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy any part of the platform without permission. • Use the platform to distribute adult content, hate speech, or content that infringes third-party rights. Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where required by law, referral to law enforcement.

8. Intellectual property

MeetLesson and its logo, design, and code are owned by MeetLesson and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute them without prior written consent. Content you create (class descriptions, profile bios) remains yours. By publishing it on MeetLesson you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the platform.

9. Disclaimers

MeetLesson provides the platform "as is" and makes no warranties about the quality, accuracy, or fitness of any class or teacher. We do not guarantee that sessions will be uninterrupted or error-free. Teachers are solely responsible for the accuracy and quality of their content. MeetLesson is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform or reliance on information provided by teachers.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetLesson's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid MeetLesson in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
